The Legal Line link provides summary legal information of all kinds, but most notably includes information on all aspects of Ontario Real Estate law. The Simcoe County mapping tool is a fantastic resource you can use to, among other things, locate addresses, determine public elementary and secondary school catchments and review the Simcoe County Official Plan.
And please don't overlook the links across the top of the page. Buyers will find an automatic home search tool and a calculator to assist in establishing affordability. Sellers will find a home evaluation tool, useful to begin the process of setting realistic expectations. And all visitors should have a look at the reports link. Proposed ethanol refinery in Barrie
From time to time an issue comes along with the potential to drastically change a community. The proposal for an ethanol refinery on the site of the old Molson brewery in Barrie is an example of just such an issue.
As a result of a great deal of research, I have come out in opposition to the proposal. I encourage all Barrie residents to educate themselves on this issue. If your research leads you to the same conclusion, take a stand and let your views be known before it is too late to do so.
